The RICS whole life carbon assessment (WLCA) standard is set to become the world-leading standard for consistent and accurate carbon measurement in the built environment. This 2nd edition builds upon the success of the existing RICS WLCA standard, having been extended to cover all buildings and infrastructure throughout the built environment life cycle.

Our Speaker

Adam Mactavish, Group Sustainability Director, Currie & Brown Ltd

Adam has over twenty years' experience in advising on low carbon and sustainable solutions for the built environment.  He works with developer, construction teams and policy makers in all sectors, to help quantify opportunities to improve sustainability and the accompanying business case for action.  He is currently working with the UK Government on both the Future Building Standard and Future Homes Standard, and is leading teams delivering whole life carbon assessments for commercial, health and higher education projects.
