LCEC's 2023 Annual General Meeting & 'Transforming Productivity'
Join us for the 2023 in-person talk and AGM at AluK - 5-11 Worship St, London, EC2A 2BH
Talk: How to Deign and Construct for the Foreseeable Future
To attain and maintain ‘Net-Zero’, all designers and constructors realise and agree, that they must undergo digitalisation, introduce robotics and automation. This means more off-site production and modularisation, and of course producing a digital twin of the asset to the specified time, cost, and quality.
This fast paced, interactive and ‘simplified-technology’ presentation, explains a client validated approach to attain and maintain that holy grail of ‘Net Zero’.
P-DfMA - Platform Design for Manufacture and Assembly - everything you need to know, but were too scared to ask! How do you make the most of technological innovations to save money and time, and ensure time on site is minimised? What is 'smart construction', and does it work?
Nicola Moriarty, a senior director in Bryden Wood's structures team will be our speaker.
Her keynote will be titled: ‘Transforming Productivity’ and will go deep into the platforms/P-DfMA (Platform Design for Manufacture and Assembly) approach Bryden Wood has pioneered.
Nicola will discuss a recent project for Landsec: The Forge.

This is the first building to use platforms to their full potential. Nicola will examine the productivity gains (validated by Cambridge University), and how the design and construction methods on this project signal a new industrialised construction future.
Join us for our first session of the year, and what promises to be a great start to 2023.
