ESG – why is construction lagging behind?
10th May 2022, 6pm for 6.30pm start
AluK Design Studio, 5-11 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2BH.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues are now front of mind for many organisations, but less so in the construction industry. Many people in construction do not even know what ESG stands for, let alone what is.
In this event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to our panel of ESG experts and gain a better understanding of what ESG is, why it is important and what is required to effectively implement it.
This is currently a subject that is largely misunderstood. However, with the need to improve environmental performance, financial regulations are increasingly requiring investment decisions to incorporate ESG considerations. Whilst this initially translates into a need for ESG standards, PWC indicate that “firms see their work on ESG as far more than a compliance exercise – it is being viewed as a value creation exercise and a commercial necessity in the market”.
Our panel consists of Tunde Agoro, Head of ESG at Hydrock Consulting, Vicki Reynolds, chief technology officer at i3PT Certification and Philip Collard, CEO at myConsole.
This is your opportunity to get ahead of your competition and appreciate how embedding ESG considerations into your organisation can drive a more purposeful culture to address societal challenges and create a better business.
