Published in 2020, the Construction Playbook promises to radically reform the way that the UK public sector develops and delivers construction projects nationwide. It looks to shake up some of the historic challenges faced by industry including adversarial contracting methods, low productivity, and supply chain difficulties. To do so it introduces 14 priorities for reform. This presentation will review these priorities, while also looking at how they are now being implemented across the country including the delivery of Construction Playbook training.

This webinar is presented by Alasdair Reisner, Chief Executive of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA).

CECA is the representative body for the UK’s civil engineering contractors, who build and maintain the nation’s critical infrastructure networks in the key sectors of transport, energy, water, waste, and communications. CECA represents over 300 contractors of all sizes, covering approximately 80% of the civil engineering market in Great Britain.  Since March 2020 Alasdair has been working with industry colleagues as part of the Construction Leadership Council Covid-19 Task Force. He has been Chief Executive at CECA since 2014.
