Ron Lang
Impact Director for Value, The Construction Innovation Hub
Ron will provide an update on progress being made on the Value Toolkit; a suite of tools aimed at driving value-based decision-making in built environment projects, programmes and portfolios. The Value Toolkit builds upon the Construction Leadership Council’s research and seminal report, Procuring for Value. Ron is leading a collaborative project team of over 150 industry experts and working directly with public and private sector clients to drive adoption of the Value Toolkit, which is explicitly linked to the Government’s recently published Construction Playbook and aligns with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Ron Lang has worked across a broad spectrum of roles over the last 15 years, spanning architectural design, sustainable construction, industrial research and innovation strategy and management. He has a BSc in Architectural Engineering and Design Management, an MSc in Construction Innovation and Management.
Born out of the Construction Sector Deal and the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund in 2018, the Construction Innovation Hub is working with public and private sector organisations across the four core themes of Value, Manufacturing, Assurance and Digital, to co-develop solutions which enable better decision-making, drive digital transformation, improve delivery and accelerate sector recovery. The Hub and its partners are committed to fundamentally transforming UK construction so that it delivers better social, environmental and economic outcomes for current and future generations.
